Go collect the sample and bring it to Camp Amundsen. Just operate the drill rig to retrieve it.

You have a weapon, yes? That is good. You will need it.

Uh, ok

Be careful, you! Don't let the beasts stop you from retrieving the sample.

Take this Fast-Aid Pack. It's very easy to use; when your health is low just equip it and operate it.

(Heal yourself by equipping it and press "E")

The drill rig is down the path and to the right. Retrieve the sample by operating the rig.

On getting close to the drill rig (68689, 71151):

You see the tiny tube that is filled with dirt and is supposedly the sample.

Retrieve the sample

After operating the drill rig:

You were injured by an electric jolt from the drill rig!

1. Press "I" to open the inventory
2. The Fast-Aid Pack is in the "tools" tab, it looks like a ball
3. Right-click it and choose "Equip" in the context menu

On equipping the FAP:

Good! You can now heal yourself by pressing "E".
When you feel ready, take the soil sample to Camp Amundsen.
(You can't heal yourself if you're at full health)

Note

You do NOT need to use the FAP, you only need to equip it to complete the quest.
